Long House Photographic Company
(LHPC) was founded in year 1969 by Mr. Chai Min Meng, an experienced photographer.
LHPC was first situated at 68, Kapitan Road Sri Aman (formally known as
Simanggang) in Sarawak, Malaysia.
During that time it operated with
only Black and White ( B/W) photography. The operating darkroom was well
equipped with photo printing enlarger with advance accessories. The air-conditioned
studio were powered by LEICA camera and some medium and top range
Single Lens Reflector (SLR) cameras. Through our excellent service
and superb product quality, LHPC was very fast well known by local residence.
In Year 1973, Mr. Chai Kui Tze took
over the business operation with major business activities by taking wedding
and National Identity Card photo. In year 1977, the B/W photography printing
was migrating toward color paper. LHPC was not left behind by investing
the very first color printing machine - Noritsu 1011.
The business was handed over to
Mr. Chai Min Jiew in the year 1983. The business motto targeted on fast
delivery service and super quality finishing. Till now, our company was
living with 20 years experience and operating with experienced mini-lab
operators.
In
October 1997, LHPC expanded the business by opening a branch in Kuching,
Sarawak, equipped with high-tech model color printer (Noritsu 2211)
with color monitor. The high speed and computerize machine provides superb
printing quality and 10 minutes delivery. All this is operated by the second
generation of LHPC, Chai Ping Soon and Chai Ping Kol.
With the support from the photographic
supplier, camera manufacturer, LHPC had participated frequent sales promotions
and campaigns, and hence become the most preferred visiting photo outlet
in town.
LHPC is currently transfering into
the Digital Technology to fulfil customer needs, and embarking a unit called
" DISC " (Digital Imaging Service Center). This Center concentrated
on Quality and Friendly Service and is headed by Mr. Chai
Ping Soon to meet technology change.
